No, I have never participated in celebrating Kupalle. But I am  do not agree with Arseniy's opinion. In my point of view, this holiday is not only for girls. Boys have a big value play an important role  in Kupalle 's celebration. They do all hard work in preparing for this holiday. For example: they prepare the place to start the fire, find old things to take them out to the place chosen for the festivity. It was thought lucky if a COUPLE could find the flower Paparats-kvetka. My granny told how did people celebrate d it when she used to be a young girl. She said, that people dance d in karagods, jump ed over the fire and bath inged in the river. People eat ate special ritual food: Vareniki, kulaha and fried eggs. This summer I will certainly take part in this holiday not to find the couple furn flower, but to have fun with my friends.
Nikita, I really enjoyed reading your post. Especially when you argued with Arseniy.

In my childhood I was participated in celebration of Kupalle. That holiday remindsed me of very interesting and exciting traditions. People jumped over the fire and prepared special ritual food. We would joined hands and danced in karagods.  My mum and I looked for a blossoming  fern  flower. It was unusual. That night the girls
wore wreaths and predicted their future. On that holiday I met new friends who lived  in other cities.  We had fun with them.
I don’t agree with the opinion of КОЦУРАЛЕСЯ  because I think that this holiday will be interesting  and amazing for people of all ages.
The post is good, you used new phrases in your own sentences, gave a nice remark, wrote about new opportunities Kupalle gave you (new friends). Nobody had mentioned about it before.

At first I would like to disagree with arseniy200113 whо wrote that Kupalle was only for girls. Arseniy, I think that men must take part in it. BY WHOM is the place to start the fire prepared? By whom is special ritual food on the fire cooked? In my family we have the tradition to celebrate Kupalle. I think that these traditions must not be celebrated by girls. As for me I participsted in celebrating Kupalle when I was twelve with my family. This holiday was celebrated by us in the night from 6 July to 7 July. my mum And I went into the meadows to collect plants and herbs. my dad at thias time was preparing the place to start the fire. It was believed that the plants which were gathered at that time had special magic and strength. I was trying to find "Paparats-Kvetka" flower. It was thought lucky if you could find this flower. Then we weaved wreaths from flowers and were wearing wreaths during the Kupalle celebration. When we returned my dad made the fire. It is  said there is the ritual to jump over the fire. We did not jump over the fire because we thought it was very dangerous. (If u want to celebrate Kupalle, I would like to advice you not to  come close to the fire and make sure that your clothes won't catch  the fire so  stay apart from fire sparks.) Then we started cooking different special ritual food. Food was cooked on the fire. My dad organized all this "special ritual food", but he looked so tired. My dad was helped by my mum. They were eggs and potatoes with bacon cooked on the fire. It was so yummy!I think that Kupalle is an interesting holiday with a lot of traditions and rituals  which should be celebrated by everyone!
Vlada, your post is great!  I really enjoyed it. I would like to join your company  when you celebrate Kupalle next time! Will you invite me?
You read the task to the exercise very attentively and did everything what was necessary to do: Passive Voice, a lot of new phrases in your own content, your opinion about the previous posts, a  nice piece of advice to be careful. Thanks lots for your work.

I am more lucky than gaponenko-tanya because I have already participated in celebrating Kupalle. gaponenko-tanya, If I were you I would go with your friends.
Many years ago I was ontook part in  this holiday. People were dancing in karagods. I think it united them when people joined hands.
In my opinion Kupalle is one of the most important holidays in Belarus. May be in Belarusian culture?

Thanks for your comment. I was looking for a fern flower fern because it is the symbol of Kupalle and I believe that if I find this flower I will be happy.I went to look for a flower at night (use the adverbial modifier ot time at the end of the sentence)  with a big company at night. Yes, I was a little afraid to meet with wild animals because I celebrated this holiday in Poland and I did not know what animals lived in that forest.
It s good to get additional information from you. Thank you, you haven't ignored my questions.
